Damian & Megan's Wedding: Dumfries, 29th July 2023

On arrival in Scotland and as it was my first ever visit to this country, it only felt right to head straight to the nearest Whisky distillery. Annandale.

After a couple of snifters and having checked in, Tim and I  head off to explore the Firth. (find a pub) We do find this, (below) what looks like an old battery installation from WWII but turns out to be the remains of a complex system of pools that were built in Edwardian times.

The next day and now for the wedding, catching up with a lot of our extended family.

Jane giving a lovely speech in place of the much missed Kenny who passed away earlier this year.
Jane mentions her Aunty and mine and Tim's mum Anne in the speech and also points us in the direction of Kenny's favourite tipple - Port & Brandy.

The first dance - dont ask me what the song was..The Gay Gordon came later. 
The dance floors filling up... I tried to join in singing with the band later and was promptly told to Foxtrot Oscar by the bassist.(more than once) HaHa
