Damian & Megan's Wedding: Dumfries, 29th July 2023
On arrival in Scotland and as it was my first ever visit to this country, it only felt right to head straight to the nearest Whisky distillery. Annandale.
(Left) The view from our hotel took in the Powfoot Golf club and (Right) The Solway Firth looking south to England.
(Above) Harvey, Madi & Tim enjoying the stroll after a long 6 hour drive. (Below) Mother & Son. Harvey's growing daily at the moment.
A wee lunchtime dram of the good stuff
After a couple of snifters and having checked in, Tim and I head off to explore the Firth. (find a pub) We do find this, (below) what looks like an old battery installation from WWII but turns out to be the remains of a complex system of pools that were built in Edwardian times.
Tim manages to catch a wave on his imaginary surfboard.
The next day and now for the wedding, catching up with a lot of our extended family.
Brother Tim and myself. (Shirt top buttons still done up at this point) 17.5" neck and mines a bit tight tbh
Brian, (Groom) Damian & (Bride) Megan along with Jane preparing for the shot below. The now happily married couple.
Tim and Uncle Pip have started early on the Port and Brandy. Nicks gone in search of the wine that hasn't made it to the table yet.
How big?
(Above) desert has arrived. Sticky toffee pudding. Harvey informing his Great Uncle about something very important no doubt.
(Above) With that said, its time to dig in. (Below) "Now let me tell you a little story" (PS.I love this picture.)
Now these two can dance...both a mere 83 and still cutting the shapes.
The beautiful bride Megan alsongside her groom Damian. It was a great day and a fabulous wedding. Here's wishing you both many years of happiness together. 2nd August 2023
