Lundy Island & N.Devon May 2017
A trip to Lundy with Tom Adams Shirley Coopers 80th year celebrations begin with us enjoying a great weekend in Ilfracombe and surrounding areas with Paul & Clare Adams. Tom Adams, Shirley Cooper, Yvonne Jaquett. Also a great evening spent with David Cooper's old friends Norman now 82 & his wife Janette Bryant. Norman was the drummer in a band with David back in the 1950's and had a few great tales to tell, about how strict Davids mother Elizabeth was, only allowing hymns to be practiced on a Sunday & certainly no Jazz. Shirley Dymond was asked to leave by Elizabeth as she was a bad influence. David lived on fried chips. And David's first wife Wendy was originally Normans girlfriend.
